PROJECT PHASES

The project will be built in four (4) phases, with completion expected in late 2021. Please note that all construction phases are weather permitting and subject to change. Construction is scheduled to begin on March 16, 2020.

During each phase, crews will:

  • Remove existing roadway, curb and gutter, and sidewalks
  • Reinstall or rehabilitate the roadway to correct cracks and potholes
  • Install new sidewalks that are ADA-compliant
  • Install new medians and landscaping
  • Install crosswalks in some areas

Work hours will initially be 7 a.m.-5 p.m., subject to change as days are longer. Some work may be done at night. Some existing left-hand turns will be eliminated to keep traffic flowing. Also, crews will not be working on feast days, holidays and other events such as Taos Pride and the Big Dance Festival.
